On August 10, We held a joint seminar on the “Early Financial Education Program” in partnership with Woongji Accounting & Tax College. Balaned has officially partnered with WAT College, South Korea's leading institution in tax and accounting education. The college will provide Balaned with its professional educational guidelines, which have been refined over 20 years. Balaned will adapt and modify these materials to make them understandable for children, with the goal of completing the program by December this year. Once the program launches, college student volunteers will assist children with assignments and Q&A sessions. Given the importance of this project, an in-depth joint seminar was held at the college's lecture hall with 18 participants, including the chairman, faculty members, and other stakeholders. Although the seminar was invitation-only, a recording will be made available for purchase in the future. The program is set to be fully established by December, with distribution through various institutions across South Korea starting in early 2025.

In early June 2024, I introduced my English-language economics book, Grade 4 Inc, at a conference room in Yeoksam, where I had gathered educational professionals. It was there that I met Chairman Song Sang-yeop of Woongji Tax College. After discussing career paths and various topics, he expressed a positive reception toward my book. I promised to donate 50 copies to the Woongji Tax College library. Our conversation deepened when we touched on the news about the lack of financial literacy in South Korea. He showed great interest in the "Early Financial Education" program I had planned, which led to several meetings and eventually the successful partnership between Volde and Woongji Tax College. Personally, working with a major institution like this has been a deeply meaningful and valuable experience. This project has not only been about helping others but has also provided me with opportunities to meet many people and learn valuable lessons in business mindset. Although I never received formal education in Daechi-dong, the hub of college entrance exam preparation in Korea, I recognize the vast differences in educational approaches between places like Daechi-dong and Apgujeong-dong. While financial literacy is a required subject in American high schools, many students preparing for university in Korea study simply to secure their future livelihood, yet remain stuck in outdated methods. Despite their efforts, many fail to enter the universities they aim for, and even those who do may face unemployment. This situation continues due to a lack of proper analysis and the absence of crucial educational programs like financial literacy. I can only feel sorrow for the current reality.
